Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 9, 2026

1. Who We Are

StillUp ("we", "us", "our") operates the uptime monitoring and status page platform at stillup.org. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at hello@stillup.org.

2. Information We Collect

Account data: When you sign up, we collect your email address and any profile information you provide (display name, status page slug).

Monitor data: URLs, check methods, expected status codes, and check results you configure.

Alert configuration: Webhook URLs for Slack and Discord, Telegram chat IDs, and notification preferences.

Billing data: Subscription status and plan tier. Full payment details are handled by Stripe and never touch our servers.

Usage data: Check results, response times, and uptime history associated with your monitors.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate the monitoring service and send alerts when your endpoints go down or recover
  • To display your public status page (if configured)
  • To process billing and manage your subscription via Stripe
  • To send transactional emails (alerts, account notifications) via Resend
  • To improve and maintain the Service

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with the third-party services necessary to operate StillUp:

  • Supabase — database and authentication hosting
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Vercel — application hosting
  • Cloudflare — monitoring worker infrastructure

We do not share your data with any other third parties without your explicit consent, except where required by law.

5. Public Status Pages

If you configure a public status page, the monitor names, current status, uptime percentage, and incident history you choose to display will be publicly accessible at your status page URL. Review your status page settings to control what is shown.

6. Data Retention

Check result history is retained for 90 days on the free plan and 365 days on paid plans. When you delete your account, your data is soft-deleted immediately and permanently purged after 30 days. You may request early deletion by emailing us.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security in our database, and hashed credentials. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction — update inaccurate data via your Settings page
  • Deletion — delete your account from Settings, or email us
  • Portability — request an export of your data

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@stillup.org.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (session management). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. A cookie preference banner may appear on first visit to satisfy local regulations.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
